Rajasthan Royals have drafted in seamer Sandeep Sharma as a replacement for Prasidh Krishna, whose services they secured for a whopping 10 crores. The lanky pacer was ruled out of the season after he underwent surgery for a stress fracture. Krishna was the Royals’ leading wicket-taker last season with 19 scalps in 17 outings.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians will rue the services of lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was seen at the Brabourne Stadium during the final of the Women’s Premier League on March 26 and the conjecture was that he is shaping up well. However, Rohit Sharma clear the air while addressing the media, confirming that Bumrah’s absence will be big blow for the franchise.
One of the first names on the Indian team sheet, Bumrah has been out of action since September last year and the BCCI but the team management is optimistic he would regain fitness for the World Cup at home in October-November.
