Ihsanullah cranks up the pace against Afghanistan

Afghanistan might have lost tonight to miss out a clean sweep, but they will be really pleased with their first ever T20I series win against their much fancied neighbours. Rashid Khan collects the trophy as the Afghainstan players pose for the shutterbugs along with their family members. Pakistan looked rusty in the first two games and conceded an unassailable lead, but they were right on the money in the dead rubber. Their batters posted a massive total, and the bowlers turned up as they defended it without fuss. Ihsanullah was mighty impressive and he has got a really bright future for Pakistan, from the looks of it.

Saim Ayub gave the hosts a fine start with his knock of 49 and laid the foundation, while, Abdullah Shafique, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan chipped in with handy cameos to lift Pakistan to 182/7, a target that proved well beyond Afghanistan’s reach. In fact, from 71/3 they collapsed to 73/7 to render the result a foregone conclusion.
