Marvel at a gem of an inswinger from Katherine Sciver-Brunt

The Proteas will face their sternest challenge hitherto in the women’s T20 World Cup trying to contain England’s potent batting line-up, who have aggregated more runs in the tournament than any other side. The English women smacked 72 fours and cleared the fence a dozen times in the group stage – more than anyone else, and fetching more than 60% of their total runs.

Unbeaten England dominated their way into the knockout rounds of the Women’s T20 World Cup by beating West Indies, Ireland, India and Pakistan. South Africa suffered an upset at the hands of Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, were fortunate to meet an uncharacteristically rusty New Zealand and beat them, lost to Australia, and huffed and puffed to victory over Bangladesh.
