Rishabh Pant has told Rajal Arora of the ups and downs of his short career so far, learning from his Indian playing superiors and how he has grown since India’s last tour of England in 2018 in a wide-ranging interview.
Perhaps most entertaining were Pant’s suggestions that he would respect England’s bowlers more than any other attack playing in home conditions. Having produced one of the most extraordinary shots in living memory against Jimmy Anderson with the new ball when India hosted the Three Lions earlier this year, his polite pre-match comments will no doubt be rendered obsolete when he eventually walks to the crease.
