Quinton de Kock took an extroardinary catch to dismiss Josh Inglis in Sunday evening’s Hundred match between the London Spirit and Southern Brave. Inglis was well set on 55, trying to scoop Chris Jordon over short third man, only to find the outstretched glove of the South African glovesman.
The catch set the Southern Brave on the course towards an incredible victory, dragging themselves back into a game that looked dead and buried to win off the final ball by four runs. Once again, strip back the marketing and the gimmickry, and this tournament delivers high-quality cricket for the entirety of the sport’s fanbase, old or new.
