Quinton de Kock displayed his world-class ability in a knock of 27 off 14 balls against London Spirit at Lord’s on Sunday to begin to justify his signing for the Southern Brave alongside New Zealander Devon Conway. The innings was curtailed by a short-pitched delivery from the impressive youngster Blake Cullen that the South African wicketkeeper top-edged into the air.
De Kock has not yet showed just how good he is on the Hundred’s stage, but shots like this wonderful checked drive for six over the cover boundary have given us glimpses, and demonstrated that this brand new format continues to accommodate the brilliance of international stars.
