England skipper Ben Stokes went past head coach Brendon McCullum to make the record for the maximum number of sixes in Test match history his own on Saturday during the first day-night Test between New Zealand and England at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
The Durham all-rounder now has 109 sixes to his name followed by Mccullum (107) who was known for his swashbuckling mode of play. While the Kiwi legend took 101 Tests to achieve the milestone, Stokes broke the record in just 90 matches.
