(Video) T20I debut for Mohammed Wasim Jnr, a fresh fetch from Pakistan’s bottomless well of fast-bowling talent

Fast bowling talent and Pakistan are synonymous in nature. Mohammed Wasim Jnr is the latest speedster cherry-picked to don the green star on his chest, as he made his international debut in the first T20I against West Indies. He trumpeted his arrival with the prized scalp of Chris Gayle, who drilled a slower ball straight down long-on’s throat.

Having represented Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, Wasim Jr has nabbed 12 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 28 and an economy rate of 8.40. Still early days into his professional career, the 19-year old pacer has featured in five first-class and six List A games.
