Inserted to bat, England got off to a shaky start as Zak Crawley departed cheaply after being reprieved twice in a space of 14 balls. On a green deck, there was enough assistance for the pacers but Tim Southee and Co. weren’t disciplined with the ball, with Ben Duckett taking full toll. The left-handed opener notched up a 36-ball fifty, batted positively and was looking set to score a ton in the very first session of the Test before he chipped a full ball straight to cover and thereby became Blair Tickner’s maiden wicket in the format.
Duckett falls 16 short of a century 😩
