Australian debutant Todd Murphy claimed five wickets on debut, but India’s lead grew into ‘strong’ territory on Day 2 of the Nagpur Test. Rohit Sharma’s century, his first as Test captain, made him the only Indian skipper to have hundreds in all three formats. He was ably supplemented by Ravindra Jadeja, who added a half-century to his bowling exploits, and and Axar Patel, who continues to give a good account of himself with the bat.
50 partnership up for Axar and Jadeja, getting increasingly frustrating for the Australians.
