The wicket of KL Rahul against the run of play has given Australia a bit of a lift going back into the dressing room at Stumps, but they have their backs to the wall after just the first day of the Nagpur Test. The enormity of the challenge for the visitors is quite evident if it wasn’t already. Led by Ravindra Jadeja’s five-for, India skittled the visitors apart for just 177. Rohit Sharma then led from the front, scoring a chanceless fifty as India reduced the deficit down to just 100 runs with 9 wickets still in hand.
There’s a good chance India will finish day one with a lead 👀
