Sophia Dunkley compiled another fifty as England wrapped up their warm-up matches ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating New Zealand by five wickets in Cape Town.
England opted to bowl first and restricted the White Ferns to 9-114. Sophie Ecclestone took impressive figures of 3-19 while Kate Cross returned 2-10 as Suzie Bates fought along for New Zealand with 36. England’s chase then saw opener Dunkley take centre stage, hitting 60 not out off 38 balls, including seven boundaries and a six.
