Sydney Sixers duo Sean Abbott and Steve Smith headlined the BBL Team of the Tournament. The season’s leading wicket-taker, Abbott found his rightful place after nabbing 25 victims across 13 matches and becoming the first and only bowler to reach 150 wickets in BBL history.
Abbott was joined by the 2022 Allan Border Medalist Steve Smith, whose short but prolific stint with the Sixers this season produced 328 runs across four matches with two narrative-flipping centuries.
