South Africa square off with England in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. The series opener marks the long-awaited return of England pacer Jofra Archer, whose last appearance for England came in March 2021. The Proteas have lost Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen in thirties.
The hosts reigned supreme in 16 of the previous 24 ODIs played at Bloemfontein, including eight of the last nine. Interestingly, though, England have won every game they’ve played at the venue.
