Axar Patel (65 off 31) and Suryakumar Yadav (51 off 36) resuscitated India’s 207-run chase with quickfire half-centuries but Sri Lanka prevailed in the end, with their skipper rounding off his fine outing in the game with two wickets in the final over. Axar counter-attacked the islanders after India lost five wickets inside the first ten, even bashing a hat-trick off sixes batter off Wanindu Hasaranga in the 14th over of the innings.
