Axar Patel smacks three sixes in a row off Wanindu Hasaranga

Sri Lanka finally managed to snap their streak of T20I defeats against India in India since February 2016 with a 16-run win in the second T20I in Pune to level the three-match series. A record half-century from Dasun Shanaka (56* off 22) and a fluent fifty from Kusal Mendis (52 off 31) set up Sri Lankaโ€™s formidable 206/6.

India lost half their side within 10 overs with a little over 50 on the board, the slide starting with Dilshan Madushanka cleaning up Ishan Kishan. The hosts recovered through quickfire fifties from Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel, who even hit Wanindu Hasaranga for three sixes on the bounce, but the target proved too daunting in the end.
