Ishan Kishan clean bowled by Dilshan Madushanka

Sri Lanka finally managed to break their winless streak in T20Is against India in India since February 2016 with a hard-fought 16-run win in the second T20I in Pune to level the three-match series. A record half-century from Dasun Shanaka (56* off 22) and a fluent fifty from Kusal Mendis (52 off 31) set up Sri Lanka’s strong total of 206/6. India lost half their side within 10 overs with a little over 50 on the board, the slide starting with Dilshan Madushanka cleaning up Ishan Kishan. The hosts recovered through Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel’s quickfire fifties, and a cameo from ShivaM Mavi but the target proved beyond their reach nonetheless.
