Rahul Tripathi makes his T20I debut for India against Sri Lanka on his home ground at the Gahunje Stadium in Pune. The 31-year-old is the 102nd player to feature in the shortest format for India.
Having been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the mini-auction in the Indian Premier League, Tripathi came in for Sanju Samson, who injured his knee during the first match of the series in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The right-handed batter has played 125 T20 games and scored 2801 runs at an average of 26.93, striking at 134.14.
