In Sunday’s Hundred match between the Manchester Originals and Birmingham Phoenix, Christmas seemed to have come early for Matt Parkinson, who revelled in his dismissal of his Lancashire and England teammate Liam Livingstone.
It was Parkinson’s first delivery of the innings, tossing it up outside the off stump in typically tempting fashion. Livingstone took the bait, edging to short third man for 12.
PARKY WINS BATTLE! 💪
Lancs vs Lancs… England vs England… and Matt Parkinson wins the battle!
Liam Livingstone is gone 12, bringing Moeen Ali to the crease now. #TheHundred 💯

For the lesser known domestic cricketers, the Hundred is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate their talents to the onlooking T20 franchises. For many of the international players, it seems if nothing else an excellent source of changing-room banter.
