Henry Nicholls too survived a LBW review after missing a venomous turner from Nauman Ali. But the left-arm spinner had his man in the next session when Nicholls dragged on trying to cut, leaving New Zealand at 272/3. Nauman could have had another had Sarfraz Ahmed not missed another stumping off Kane Williamson on 17. The mistakes from the experienced wicketkeeper proved costly as Williamson went on to register his 25th Test hundred.
