Kane Williamson gave a couple of stumping opportunities which Sarfaraz Ahmed didn’t take and the former New Zealand skipper made Pakistan pay by notching up his 25th Test hundred. He held one end up tightly and allowed the other batters to bat freely around him, adding crucial partnerships with Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell. New Zealand might have taken the lead but they are still not out of the woods yet as they will be batting last on the Karachi surface, so the size of the lead Williamson manages to attain with the lower order might become a determining factor.
