Cameron Green registered his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests as South Africa endured another below-par batting show in the first innings to fold for just 189 at the MCG. This wasn’t a complete blowout as in Gabba, as a stubborn sixth-wicket stand between Kyle Verreynne and Marco Jansen stabilized the innings to an extent. But Green wreaked havoc in the final session when he dismissed both the set batters to trigger South Africa’s implosion.
