Watch Sarfaraz Ahmed makes a solid 86 on Test return

The afternoon and evening sessions were totally dominated by Pakistan on Day 1 of the series-opening Test against New Zealand in Karachi, as the pitch got flat and the experience of Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed shone through. The Pakistan skipper slammed Michael Bracewell over deep mid-wicket for a six to notch up another ton at the venue, and Sarfaraz was looking set for his century as well before Ajaz Patel got him caught at slip with the new ball. Babar, however, is still going strong on 161* and a double ton would be on his agenda.
