Bangladesh Test skipper Shakib al Hasan told reporters that he is disappointed with his team’s poor catching that cost them the series-concluding second Test against India. The hosts put down as many as three catches including a regulation chance offered by Ravichandran Ashwin at forward short-leg when the all-rounder failed to negotiate a Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivery that turned a wee bit. The hosts were in the ascendancy until that point but reprieving Ashwin on a personal score of 6 proved costly as he turned the game in his team’s favour by stitching an undefeated 71-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer.
“We miss regulation stuff. Our bowlers have to create 13-14 chances to take 10 wickets. Other teams have to create nine chances to take 10 wickets,” Shakib added.#ShakibAlHasan #BANvIND https://t.co/QgfUBlGKjt
