Bangladesh dropped as many as three catches including a regulation chance of Ravichandran Ashwin at forward short-leg, with Mominul Haque being the culprit, when the all-rounder failed to negotiate a Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivery that turned a wee bit. The hosts were in command until that point but reprieving Ashwin on a personal score of 6 proved costly as he turned the game in his team’s favour by stitching an undefeated 71-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer.
Ashwin could have been back in the hut but Mominul Haque spilled a catch at short leg.
It proved a costly mistake as Ashwin went on to make 42 not out, forging a match-winning 71-run partnership with Iyer, who remained unbeaten on 29.https://t.co/A39DitrUP8
