Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up three wickets late on Day 3 and added two more to his tally on the fourth morning to give India a scare. The off-spinner had Rishabh Pant LBW with one going straight on from round the wicket. Mehidy had Bangladesh overjoyed in his next over, when the well-set Axar Patel was bowled on 34 after camping back to a quicker one that ricocheted off his pads onto the leg stump. Although his fifer went in vain as R Ashwin (42*) and Shreyas Iyer (29*) put on a valiant unbeaten 71-run stand for the eighth wicket to help India to a series-clinching victory.
