England lynchpin Joe Root is set to play for Dubai Capitals in the inaugural edition of the International League T20. Root has been snapped up by the franchise, whose owners are also a part of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. The auction for the 2023 IPL will take place on Friday, December 22 in Kochi, and it’d be interesting to see if Root finds any takers for the first time in the history of the cash-rich league.
The Dubai Capitals have Rovman Powell, Hazratullah Zazai, Fabian Allen, Mujeeb Ur Raman, Niroshan Dickwella, Dasun Shanaka, Sikandar Raza, Bhanuka Rajapaskha, Dan Lawrence, Blessing Muzarabani, Isuru Udana, George Munsey, Dushmantha Chameera and Fred Klaassen in their squad.
The consistency that we were 𝙍𝙊𝙊𝙏-ing for 🔥
