Michael Neser took a hat-trick on BBL return and came agonizingly close to taking four wickets on the bounce before Melbourne Renegades, spurred by an astonishing counterpunch from Andre Russell, managed to get the better of Brisbane Heat once again. On a dicey surface in Geelong, Renegades were in deep trouble in their fairly manageable chase of 138 after Neser’s heroics. But Russell changed the complexion of the game with 57 off 42 balls laced with six mighty maximums.
