Abrar Ahmed proved to be a thorn in England’s flesh in the second innings as well as he became only the second bowler from Pakistan to pick 10 wickets on Test debut, but the enterprising pair of Harry Brook and Ben Duckett ensured England maintained their grip on the Multan Test. Abrar accounted for three of the five wickets to fall in England’s second dig but the visitors ended Day 2 on 202 for 5. As Joe Root Joe Root fell for 21 owing to an excellent catch by Abdullah Shafique, England went to Tea at 79 for 3.
