(Video) Shikhar Dhawan’s toss-winning celebration is wonderfully village

After losing the toss for both the first and second One Day Internationals against Sri Lanka, India’s stand-in captain Shikhar Dhawan celebrated with his trademark thigh-slap after calling the coin correctly before the last of the three-match series.

Dhawan is one of those cricketers who comes across as a real laugh, always looking as if he is genuinely grateful to be out in the middle. Taking charge of the most scrutinised cricket team in the world and reacting to the opportunity to bat like a village captain whose opening bowlers are still nursing hangovers is nothing short of superb.

The opener went on to hit thirteen off eleven balls in India’s score of 225 all out. You half-expected him to walk out with his thigh-pad on over his trousers.
