Babar Azam unbeaten on 61 as Pakistan trail by 174 runs

Babar Azam hit a counter-punching 61* as Pakistan reached 107/2 at Stumps against England on the opening day of the second Test in Multan. The hosts trail by 174 runs, with Saud Shakeel batting on 32, along with the skipper.

Earlier, leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed bagged seven wickets on Test debut as Pakistan bowled out England for 281. Abrar dismissed Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes and Will Jacks, before Zahid Mahmood snared the last three wickets.
