Scott Boland will replace the injured Pat Cummins for the second Test against West Indies in Adelaide, Cricket Australia stated. The Australian captain was put through the paces by the medical staff but it came to light that he hasn’t made a full recovery from the thigh strain he picked up in the series opener at Perth. Cummins’ absence means Australia will be led by Steve Smith for a second straight pink-ball Test with the regular captain also missing last year’s day-night affair against England after being deemed a close contact of a Covid-19 case.
