Bangladesh’s wobble in the middle overs was triggered by off-spinner Washington Sundar, who accounted for both Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan in quick succession, the latter caught wonderfully by Virat Kohli. India’s grip on the game was quite strong but Mehidy Hasan proved to be Bangladesh’s saviour in Dhaka as he guided the hosts to a thrilling one-wicket win in the first ODI. With India needing just a wicket to close the game out, Mehidy farmed the strike nicely with Mustafizur at the other end, and ended up stroking an unbeaten 38 to help Bangladesh go 1-0 up.
A great catch by King Kohli. pic.twitter.com/MHRGouU9F6
