An unbeaten 51-run stand for the 10th wicket helped Bangladesh snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against India in the ODI series opener on Sunday, but the visitors made their share of mistakes in the field, the most significant of them being the drop by KL Rahul as he backpedalled to hold onto a top edge. Wicketkeeper Rahul had made the effort to settle underneath the skier, but it popped out of his gloves on contact. India could not take the final wicket as Bangladesh gained a 1-0 lead in the three-match rubber.
