Record books seek amendment as England post 506/4 on opening day

Four of England’s top-five batters scored centuries as the tourists made an enormous 506/4 on the opening day of the Rawalpindi Test in just 75 overs. Openers Zak Crawley (122) and Ben Duckett (107) laid the ground with their 233-run stand while Ollie Pope (108) and Harry Brook (101*) consolidated with their alliance worth 176, to hammer home England’s advantage.

England blazed off the blocks by racking up 174 in the morning session, picked up 158 post Lunch despite losing three wickets, and 174 again in the curtailed final session where light permitted only 21 overs.
