Just-retired Luke Wright appointed England men’s selector

Luke Wright, the former England allrounder, who recently retired from professional cricket has been appointed as the new England Men’s selector. He is set to assume the role in March next year after completing a coaching assignment with Auckland.

Wright will shoulder the responsibilities of picking squads with England men’s managing director Rob Key, performance director Mo Bobat, player ID lead David Court, along with the respective red-ball and white-ball coaches and captains. His insights will also be taken into account with regards to ECB central contracts.
