Williamson to miss third T20I against India; Chapman drafted in

Kane Williamson will miss the third T20I against India in Napier owing to a pre-arranged medical appointment, New Zealand Cricket stated. In his absence, Tim Southee will step in as the captain for Tuesday’s game. Mark Chapman has been called up to the side. NZC confirmed that Williamson will link up with the ODI squad ahead of the series opener on Friday in Auckland.

Head coach Gary Stead also clarified that the medical appointment is unrelated to Williamson’s elbow which has caused problems for him every now and then.
