Australia openers David Warner and Alex Hales gave a rosy start to their side in the chase of 288 against England in the first ODI of the three-match series. Chris Jordan provided England the much-needed breakthrough as he disrupted the alliance worth 147. England even got rid of Marnus Labushagne and Alex Carey but Steve Smith found his bearings to hit a half-century. Thanks to hefty contributions from the top order, Australia are well on their way to pick up a win in the series opener.
