A majestic ton from Dawid Malan helped England post a competitive 287/9 in the first ODI against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. That total didn’t look probable at one stage when the visitors were reeling at 66/4. But a resolute Malan ensured England show the stomach for a fight as he single-handedly led the recovery with a valuable 128-ball 134, his second ODI century. The second highest score in the innings was an unbeaten 34* from David Willey.
