Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his 12th List A century as Maharashtra beat Railways by seven wickets in Ranchi on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. Gaikwad stayed unbeaten on 124 runs off 123 balls as Maharashtra hunted down 219 with 11.4 overs to spare. His hundred was laced with eight fours and seven sixes. Gaikwad was involved in a massive 165-run stand for the opening wicket with Rahul Tripathi, who finished with 75 runs off 80 balls thanks to 10 fours and a six.
