(Video) Yuzvendra Chahal’s gorgeous flight leaves Sri Lanka gasping

Battered and bruised in the series opener, Sri Lanka came out with a more pragmatic game plan as they elected to bat first in the 2nd ODI, with the series at stake. Openers Avishka Fernando and Minod Bhanuka didn’t hold back their shots, escorting Sri Lanka to an unscathed 59 at the end of the Powerplay. India were just beginning to feel the pinch as Yuzvendra Chahal got into the act, dealing a double whammy to put the brakes on the hosts’ rampage.

The wiry leg-spinner first coaxed the well-set Minod Bhanuka into a tame whip to catching mid-wicket before delivering an absolute peach to send Bhanuka Rajapaksa packing for a golden duck. The cherry spun from outside off, dipping in front of the southpaw to draw him onto the forward defence, only to then hold its line and graze the outside edge through to the keeper. Chahal’s vital twofold strike pegged Sri Lanka back and India could afford to breathe a little easy.
