Alex Hales largely struggled to find his timing and was also handed two reprieves through the course of his innings. Eventually, he pulled a good short ball from Fareed to mid-wicket as it hit the bat hard on impact. Mohammad Nabi then cleaned up Ben Stokes with a seam-up delivery. Afghanistan have bowled with a lot of heart but have too few runs on the board to make a match out of this.
