West Indies scored just 26 runs in the four overs after the PowerPlay as Evin Lewis and Brandon King revived the West Indies innings slowly. They got to 67/2 in 10 overs and needed to get a move on, but Ireland targetted West Indies’ recent bugbear – spin bowling – to tighten the screws. Lewis didn’t read Gareth Delany’s googly and miscued a shot to mid-off. Nicholas Pooran, who made a sprightly start and even pulled a Joshua Little delivery for six, was undone by the flight offered by Delany. The spinner had his third when Rovman Powell slog-swept him straight to the deep square leg. He finished with figures of 3 for 16 in 4 overs, including 12 dot balls.
