Sri Lanka defend a measly total to secure thrilling win

Pakistan were in such control but failed to hold their nerve as Sri Lanka beat them by just 1 run with a run-out in the last ball and with that the Islanders will meet India in the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

Pakistan needed just 34 off 30 balls and with Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar in the middle, they fancied their chances. However, a wicket gave Sri Lanka hope that a derailment can happen. And happen it did, as Pakistan choked under pressure to concede the game and miss out on a berth in the grand finale.
