Markram gets underneath a wayward delivery from Sundar

Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks joined forces for a 129-run partnership for the third wicket after South Africa lost a couple early in the 2nd ODI against India at Ranchi. Quinton de Kock was dismissed cheaply by Mohammed Siraj while debutant Shahbaz Ahmed ended Janneman Malan’s promising knock. Markram and Hendricks joined forces with South Africa at 40/2 in the 10th over, and their alliance lasted for more than 20 overs as they helped the visitors claw their way back. Hendricks was brilliant with his wrists on both sides of the wicket while Markram too ensured the poor deliveries were put away promptly.
