Pakistan kick-start Asia Cup campaign with emphatic win

Pakistan started their Asia Cup campaign with a bumper win over Malaysia in Sylhet on Sunday, October 2. The gulf in quality was plain as a pikestaff between the two sides as the Malaysian women barely managed to bat out their quota of 20 overs to post a shambolic 57/9 on the board.

Needing just 58 to win, the Pakistan openers gave their side a good start. Sidra Ameen was dismissive in her approach as she smashed five boundaries to race to 31. Even though she was castled off the final delivery of the PowerPlay, Pakistan had already ticked off 45 runs and managed to complete a facile win with 11 overs to spare.
