Phil Salt’s unrelenting attack downs Pakistan

Phil Salt went berserk in the Powerplay, taking a mere 19 balls to reach his half-century – the third-fastest by an England cricketer in T20Is – as England posted a massive 82 after the first six overs, their second highest score in the PowerPlay. The next two overs yielded an astonishing 35 runs as Salt sped towards a century for the ages. He would finish just short, however, managing an unbeaten 88 in 41 balls, as England cruised to victory at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to set up a delicious decider in the seventh match of the series.
