Renuka Singh dents English top-order once again

Chasing a lowly total of 170, England are two wickets down against India at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London. Earlier, fifties from Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma could not compensate for the top-order’s failure as India were bundled out for an underwhelming total. Jhulan Goswami, who received a guard of honour in her farewell game, was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Kate Cross returned figures of 4 for 26, while Freya Kemp and Sophie Ecclestone claimed two wickets apiece as England won half the battle thanks to a solid bowling performance.
