Sherfane Rutherford’s 50-ball 78 and a quickfire cameo worth 30 off just six balls from Dewald Brevis set up St Kitts and Nevis Patriots’ seven-run victory over Trinbago Knight Riders. The duo lifted their side up from 43/3 at the halfway mark to the challenging total of 163/6, which the bowlers did well to defend.
Akeal Hosein was taken to the cleaners by Rutherford first – who scythed a six and a four – and then Brevis, who capped off the over with an impressive hat-trick of sixes. That 30-run penultimate over influenced the game heavily but the pair also razed Dupavillon’s figures by hitting three sixes between them in the last over as SNP finished strongly. The pair added 57 runs in just a matter of 15 balls.
