Verreynne coaxed into a poke as South African woes aggravate

South Africa have lost wickets in a heap in the opening hour of the third and final Test at The Oval. While Ollie Robinson picked up an impressive four wickets, the experienced campaigners James Anderson and Stuart Broad took one apiece to leave the visitors in shambles at 36/6.

The ball to dismiss Kyle Verreynne was angling in on a length, forcing the batter to play before it nibbled away ever so slightly to take the outside edge. Ben Foakes doesn’t err behind the sticks and South Africa’s woes aggravate. England are well and truly on top.
